May is Mental Health Awareness Month and EBCAP’s Behavioral Health Team encourages you to join in the nationwide effort to spread awareness and promote compassion and understanding for those affected by mental illness. Attendees will gain insight into the risk factors for suicide and other psychiatric crises and learn about the emergency services available to support individuals in times of crisis. The session will also cover key aspects of mental health law, including when these laws are applied, and provide strategies for self-advocacy and advocating for others.

Overdose Prevention

We will discuss the vital steps of opiate overdose prevention including how to recognize an opiate overdose, how to respond to an opiate overdose, and how to use Narcan.
