East Providence HEZ

Who We Are

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) became the backbone agency for the East Providence HEZ (EPHEZ) in 2019. HEZs began as an initiative of the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH), and are place-based efforts to improve community health and wellness. We work to address community priorities through collaboration, education, and innovative programming.

Connect

Community stakeholders play an important role in improving the health and wellness of their fellow neighbors and city residents.

Collaborate

EPHEZ is currently addressing the following resident-identified priorities:

  • Health and Nutrition Education
  • Support for Families with Young Children
  • Support for Seniors
  • Outdoor Activities and Education

Interested in joining us? We would love to hear from you: EProvHEZ@ebcap.org.

Community-Driven

The collaborative is representative of the East Providence community and state-wide alliances. The EP HEZ values community input and buy-in.
